For those seeking a wide variety of high quality cigars, The Wellesley Hotel is Europe’s version of Cuba. Cigar loving Londoners frequent the hot spot when they want access to one of the world’s largest selection of limited edition cigars.
Patrons can smoke among London’s elite, or puff among the legendary cigar smokers of all time the “British Bulldog” himself, Winston Churchill…of course in portrait form. Then again, anyone who had enjoyed smoking stogies as much as the”British Bulldog” deserve to be immortalized in art form.
The bespoke cigar lounge and humidor is an amazing combination of architecture and design. The humidor was commissioned by Italian humidor experts DeArt, in conjunction with Fox Linton and features a laser cut inlaid map of Cuba on the floor. The ceiling inlays and cabinets are beautifully finished in a high polished lacquer that gives the humidor a brighter larger feel.
Artwork in the Cigar Lounge was commissioned by famous Cuban artist Ernesto Milanes and is designed and painted in tobacco leaves.
Giuseppe Ruo The Wellesley’s Director of Food & Beverage, is a renowned Cigar Sommelier who has garnered numerous awards for his experience in the art of smoking and selecting some of the world’s high quality cigars. The Wellesley has the largest cigar humidor in Europe, and with Giuseppe’s keen selection skills he has managed to build a $2 million dollar portfolio of the worlds finest limited edition cigars.
