Bulgari has unveiled the thinnest minute repeater on the market at Baselworld Switzerland 2016. International Watch Magazine sat down with the CEO of Bulgari Group and President of Watches, Jean-Christophe Babin to talk about the Octo-Finissimo Minute Repeater.
The highly elegant and classic watch took years to develop and perfect given the intensity to create the minute repeater complication. At 40mm (1.75 inches) wide and 5mm thick (.2 inches) the watch plays music that has been completely mastered by Bulgari. According to International Watch Magazine, “The creation from Bulgari appears more sleek and modern than most minute repeaters on the market and continues the aesthetic from the brand.”
Roberta Naas who covers the worlds most luxurious watches said, ” The case of this watch is crafted of titanium to achieve light weight and a good soundboard for the chimes thanks to the low-density of the metal. The sound diffusion not only resounds nicely against the case and sides, but also filters through the incised titanium hour markers and small seconds counter on the dial – further amplifying the sound.”
The BVL Caliber 362 measures just 3.12mm or (.012 inches)
